DBVW Works with AS220 on Empire Street Complex
DBVW Architects is excited to be working with AS220 as they implement their ALL ACCESS Vision to provide greater access to arts programming at 115 Empire Street. As one of Providence's most innovative arts organizations, AS220 is dedicated to supporting artists, expanding cultural opportunities in Rhode Island, and cultivating Rhode Island’s creative community.
Over the past fifteen years, DBVW has worked with AS220 to repair, upgrade, and renovate portions of their Empire Street complex, but the building is now due for comprehensive improvements. The ALL ACCESS campaign will make Empire Street accessible and inclusive, create additional space for more core artistic programming; improve existing arts spaces and expand AS220 FOO(D). It will also create a fund for continued capacity building and upkeep.
In addition to their vast and dynamic year-round programming, AS220 hosts an annual all-ages fundraiser which will occur Saturday, August 18th from 1pm to 1am. We are proud to be a continued sponsor of Foo Fest, which transforms Empire Street and AS220’s venues into a block-party celebration featuring music, art, and performance.
