Yale University Sterling Memorial Library

DBVW Architects is providing architectural services to assist with the overall restoration project that Yale University is undertaking at Sterling Memorial Library. DBVW developed construction documents and provided construction administration services for a new accessible ramp, reconstruction of existing moat walls, and general masonry restoration of the York Street façade in 2014. DBVW Architects then implemented a systematic survey and testing program as part of a detailed investigation into the ongoing masonry deterioration of the Wall Street facade at Sterling Memorial Library. A pilot project was completed in 2016, focusing on the reconstruction of two (2) deteriorated masonry buttresses and the masonry wall. DBVW is currently developing construction documents and preparing to provide multi-phased construction administration services for additional exterior masonry repairs, window restoration and low-slope roof replacement at the High, Wall and York Street elevations.
