Renovations to 10,000 sf of the Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CAM) at the William M. Davies Jr. Career and Technical High School expands and enhances existing pathways as well as offers new curriculum for students entering into manufacturing and engineering careers. Its Machine Technology program teaches students how to use cutting-edge technology, computers, and numerically controlled machines as well as the design software that runs them. The CAM includes a CNC shop, quality control room, saw area, welding area, tool crib and open teaching area. Its Bio-Manufacturing program offers students a large-scale bio-manufacturing experience and includes a modular clean room, prep room, upstream and downstream areas, water quality area, forensics area with bio-reactors, chromatography lab area, and a classroom for 20 students.
