North Kingstown Fire Department Station 1
Located at the entrance to seaside Wickford Village, which was recently named one of the Best Historic Small Towns in America, the new facility was designed to harmonize with its surroundings. Working closely with fire personnel, DBVW in partnership with Architects Design Group, designed a new one-story, 20,200 sf facility with five apparatus bays to accommodate fire department administration and firefighters. The project includes demolition of the town’s existing public safety facility and retention of the existing communications tower and fueling station. Construction will commence following completion of the new North Kingstown Public Safety Complex, which is also being designed by the DBVW/ADG team.
