Lowell Community Health Center
Part of the historic Hamilton Mill, this project involved the conversion of 100,000 sf of industrial mill space to healthcare space. This facility supports programs designed to enhance the health of the culturally diverse Greater Lowell community and empower individuals to maximize their overall well-being. Programs include family practice, adult primary care, lab/same day care and others that you might typically expect to find in a health center along with innovative programs for youth development and overall health promotion.

Michael’s interest in modern cities, vernacular structures, industrial heritage and rural life has led him to many foreign countries and remote villages and informs much of his work. His enthusiasm for making vibrant places and appreciation for craftsmanship fuels his passion for designing new buildings and restoring historic ones.
