College Internship Program at the Berkshire Center

DBVW Architects converted the Baird and Benton Block, a historic building in Downtown Lee, Massachusetts into a new academic facility for students with Asperger’s, ADD, high-functioning autism and other learning differences. The building was fully rehabilitated to accommodate the largest of four national centers for the College Internship Program. Retail space facing Main Street was renovated as part of this mixed-use project. The new café and art gallery, which features the work of CIP students, is a welcome addition to downtown, and has helped revitalize the area.
