This phased, mixed-use urban redevelopment involves rehabilitating a historic industrial complex located on a 17.5 acre site along the Woonasquatucket River. DBVW worked with the developer to create a masterplan in which eight historic buildings would be adaptively reused for housing, commercial and retail space. Public plazas, river walks, and new infill buildings were designed where asphalt parking lots had existed for many years. In recognition of its many sustainable design elements, the project was accepted into the LEED for Neighborhood Development pilot program in 2007.
