RI DCYF Female Youth Residential Facility
DBVW was hired by the State of Rhode Island to design a facility that will provide temporary housing for 16 female youth, ages 13-18. The facility will contain single bedrooms for each client as well as a kitchen, dining area, classrooms, recreation facilities, administration areas, clinical area, and gathering spaces for the residents and their family. The new youth residential facility will serve an important role in keeping the adolescents closer to their communities, reducing the hardship on families for visitation, treatment, and reunification.

Jen joins DBVW as a Senior Project Manager, bringing over 15 years of experience in planning, designing and constructing projects for a range of clients. Originally from upstate New York, Jen currently lives in Providence with her husband, their German Shepherd, and four chickens. She earned a Master of Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design as well as a Bachelor of Science from Long Island University. Jen is a past president of the AIA Rhode Island chapter and previously served on the AIA RI Design Committee. Her favorite pastime is watching live music and enjoys volunteering for Habitat For Humanity.
