A once uninspiring space of seemingly endless suspended ceiling and carpet, DBVW uncovered the building’s structure comprised of huge concrete girders and pre-stressed concrete “T” beams to create a light-filled, collaborative office environment. The design features a flowing entrance stair and ramp arrangement that celebrates entry and the Dimeo brand, as well as create a core for the overall layout of the office. The exposed girders inform the primary circulation across the office, and the “T” beams lend rhythm and texture. Interior glass walls with sliding glass doors, define conference spaces as well as efficient individual offices where acoustic privacy is required. Open office areas are arranged to maximize daylight entering from the north and south facing ribbon windows.
