UNFI Cafe’ PVD
United Natural Foods, Inc., a food distributor specializing in natural foods, has worked with DBVW Architects for years on everything from its corporate headquarters to shared service center projects. As public health restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic relaxed, UNFI collaborated with DBVW once again to reimagine a space formerly known as the Honest Green Market at its corporate offices in Providence, Rhode Island. The Honest Green Market was transformed into UNFI Café – providing UNFI employees and, for the first time, the public, a new offering of sandwiches, beverages, and desserts to complement a more limited inventory in its market space. The project expanded the seating and dining areas of the cafe to promote increased lunchtime options and reinvigorate UNFI’s workforce returning to the office after a period of extended remote work.

Sara joined DBVW as an Interior Designer in the fall of 2013. She has over 20 years of experience in the industry, including several years designing interiors for an internationally recognized hospitality design firm and as a Principal and Owner of her own firm in Chicago. Whether working on a hospital, academic space, senior living development, historic building or single family residence, Sara has the ability to translate the client’s style and unique needs into her design. Sara has a daughter and a cat named Opus, who all live near the water and spend as much time outside as they can.
