Worcester Auditorium
DBVW working to reimagine the c.1931 Worcester Auditorium as a state-of-the-art digital innovation, education, arts, and entertainment facility. Largely vacant since 1999, this classic revival style building features a large auditorium for over 2,000 people, a smaller performance space, and a grand lobby with three prized murals. The reimagined Worcester Auditorium will be a forum for commercial entertainment, including interactive media and esports. It will also be an incubator for digital media industry entrepreneurs. Features include a new multi-story entrance addition, service/loading addition, and a new actor entrance, an entrepreneur center, esports practice areas, and production studios. The building is a contributing building within Worcester’s Institute District, a National Register historic district.
