Noquochoke Village

DBVW Architects worked with a non-profit housing developer, The Community Builders, to create 50 units of new affordable housing in seven buildings in this coastal Massachusetts town. The sensitive development includes a common building and is designed to reflect the architecture of traditional New England villages. The construction was concentrated on a small portion of a 31-acre parcel of Town-owned land to preserve as much open space as possible and to allow for public walking trails through adjacent wooded areas. A new septic system was carefully designed to have minimal impact on the land in order to preserve the natural environment of the site adjacent to the Westport River
