Moses Brown Y Lab

DBVW Architects collaborated with Moses Brown School to transform the 150-year-old Alumni Hall into the Y-Lab — a 5,000-square-foot innovators' space named for the late Quaker engineer and scientist, Thomas Young. The space is equipped with 3D printers, digital prototyping software and other leading technology as well as low-tech instruments and supplies such as woodworking tools, cardboard and glue guns that will encourage middle and upper school students to engage in team-based brainstorming and experimentation.
