This new 15-story building will have commercial space on the first floor and over 200 micro-loft style apartments on the upper floors. Additionally, the building will feature a fitness center on the second floor and a roof terrace and lounge on the top floor.
A primary design goal for this urban high-rise was to create a modern building that would complement the historic buildings that surround it and respect the College Hill neighborhood. DBVW Architects worked closely with the Downtown Design Review Committee, Rhode Island Historic Preservation and Heritage Commission and Providence Preservation Society to consider a series of design options that fit into the surrounding context. Connections to the sidewalk provide enhanced pedestrian experience and activate the street level.
