The Chorus of Westerly Performance Hall, one of southern New England’s premier venues for live performances, occupies a historic former church. Renovating the building to accommodate an active performance program included restoring the former sanctuary as a performance hall and constructing a new addition to provide a multi-function room, administrative offices, a music library and bathrooms. DBVW Architects designed the addition to be compatible with the historic building and to transition from the large scale of the former church to a small scale residential neighborhood behind the building.
