Brown University School of Professional Studies

This project repurposed an existing building in Providence's Knowledge District for use by Brown University’s School of Professional Studies as staff offices, program teaching classrooms, and lecture halls. The design incorporates classrooms with lecture capture, allowing the University to use the facility for their online program. The facility has a control booth for editing lectures as well a studio to perform interviews. This professional and executive environment allowed Brown University to take their School of Professional Studies to the next level.

“Early on, (DBVW Architects) took the time to ensure a thorough understanding of our work, our aspirations, concerns and expectations for the new space. They converted this understanding into excellent early designs and then worked diligently and responsively to modify the designs according to new information, questions from the staff and budgetary issues.”
