Brown University School of Professional Studies

This project repurposed an existing building in Providence's Knowledge District for use by Brown University’s School of Professional Studies. The design includes offices as well as classrooms with lecture capacity, allowing the University to use the facility for their online program. The design also offers a control booth for editing lectures as well a studio for interviews, thus creating a professional and executive environment that allowed Brown University to take their School of Professional Studies to a new level.

“Early on, (DBVW Architects) took the time to ensure a thorough understanding of our work, our aspirations, concerns and expectations for the new space. They converted this understanding into excellent early designs and then worked diligently and responsively to modify the designs according to new information, questions from the staff and budgetary issues.”
