DBVW Architects is proud to announce that Tami Hughes, Project Manager at the firm and ACE (Architecture Construction Engineering) Mentor to high school students, was nominated by the Rhode Island ACE affiliate chapter to compete at the national level for the 2017 ENR – ACE Outstanding Mentor. All of us at DBVW congratulate Tami on this well-deserved honor and thank her for her continued involvement and leadership in the ACE Mentor Program. This past year, more than 2,500 mentors worked with approximately 8,000 high school students across the nation. Studies have shown that two-thirds of ACE students enter college with plans to study architecture, engineering, or construction. Volunteer mentors like Tami help give these students a head start.
