DBVW Wins Five Design Awards

We are excited to announce that DBVW Architects won three juried AIAri Design Awards and two AIA People’s Choice Awards for three recently completed projects in Providence, Rhode Island. We’d like to extend our congratulations to the clients, contractors, and consultants that made these exciting projects successful!

Moses Brown Woodman Family Community and Performance Center | Merit Award for Educational / Institutional Design & People's Choice Award

The new 25,000 sf Woodman Center features a highly flexible multi-use performance, worship, and meeting space that can accommodate over 500 people. This state-of-the-art space with a full catwalk system and adjustable room acoustics includes a retractable seating riser as well as 42 scissor-type platforms. The Center also includes teaching space, a student lounge, a cafe, and gallery.

Moses Brown Jones Library | Merit Award for Interiors

The renovation and interior fit-out of Moses Brown’s library celebrates the building's historic architecture, while reimagining the space to support modern teaching, collaboration, research, and individual study needs. The new space also provides an inviting venue for the school's social functions after hours.

WaterFire Arts Center | Citation for Adaptive Reuse & People's Choice Award

In addition to serving as WaterFire Providence headquarters, this newly restored mill building functions as a social enterprise venture benefiting the larger arts community in Providence, celebrating the best Rhode Island has to offer in visual and performing arts.
